We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. Very nice, friendly people even delivered firewood to the camp site with starters. Definitely will go back
I was looking forward to reading your response I knew it would be a good one. I decided to share a picture of one of our receipts to show that we were indeed paying $635 that you said we weren't. I also though I would share the pictures of the raw sewage beside our camper that we put up with during our stay there. As far as the complaining, that was always due to every time we turned around you were charging more money. And you DID say "the hell with you" to my husband the older gentleman that works there was standing right there when you did. We heard you numerous time being rude to your guests while we were there.
Didn't like the campsite. Unfriendly staff. Even though it's posted as pet friendly.... definitely not. Signs posted everywhere..."No Dogs". The only area dogs allowed was the playground...and the grass wasn't mowed... extremely long grass. Wouldn't advise you going there, even though Good Sam gave it good ratings.
My husband and I have been traveling for his job for 30 years (pipeline). This is by far the worst campground we have ever stayed at. We were paying more rent than any other pipeliner from day one. After we were there one week the owners came to us and told us we would have to move our trailer over three feet because we were on the other sight and they wanted to put another RV beside us. There wasn't enough room for our RV and another one so we ask if we could move. Judy thought that would be best since our trailer was to big to be there. So we moved to another site. When we move into a campground we ALWAYS take a picture of the electric meter. When we got our electric bill it was $57.70 dollars for the one week. When we questioned her about it she had a completely different number in her computer than we had in the picture. Even though the picture had the date and time on it I still think she thought we were trying to rip her off. She did change the amount to $17.40. When I went in to pay the rent a few weeks later it was $35 dollars more than when we moved in. When I ask she said "that's a nicer sight". I told her she never told us that when we moved and her response was " you didn't ask". The nicer sight was right beside a stinky septic holding tank that over flowed three times while we were there (we have pictures). We left 2 weeks before our rent was due. We ask if we would get a refund. We knew that she has a sign in the office about no refunds, but we also knew she gave two other Pipeliner's refunds when they left "without notice". She told us we didn't give notice and gave us no refund and took our final electric bill out of our $100 deposit. She told my husband "to hell with you" and went into her office and shut the door. She is the rudest most miserable person I have ever been around. BEWARE! DO NOT STAY AT ECHO VALLEY!! Her husband was always very nice and helpful to us. God bless him.
My family and I went for a drive today to check this place out, while excited to know that it was close by and open all-year round, as we love to camp. We drove in to find the camp store/office was closed, which was expected as it is a Sunday so we drove in a little further to see if we can find cabins and/or some more secluded sites. We entered an area that appeared to be a circle of campers and drove out of what we thought was a road. No one was parked nearby, no kids, people or pets around, etc. so we proceeded through with caution. A woman on a golf cart "boss lady" cut in front of our vehicle, in which I thought, from her, I could get some direction and information on cabins. However she asked, "who are you looking for?" We told her we were basically checking the place out. She proceeded with asking us why we didn't stop at the camp office in which we told her the camp store was clearly closed. She then rudely said that we should have went to the camp store to find a number to call her instead of driving around on peoples private properties. I responded with, "we didn't know, you don't have to be so rude." She could have said, I know you probably didn't know but next time visit the office and call the number for help before proceeding through the camp in which case I would have apologized. However she was beyond rude, and clearly does not want any business. I can only assume she thought because we were a younger family that we were trying to cause a problem which wasn't the case at all. I simply wanted to bring my kids to a family friendly environment to have fun throughout the year. I am so glad I ran into her and experienced her uncalled-for rudeness before I wasted our money on their services. I will look elsewhere for my family's next campsite and will be sure to also let it be known on facebook of my unpleasant experience here after being on the grounds for less than 5 minutes. It did not surprise me at all that they only have a 2.2 rating.
We stayed here March-April 2017. We moved to PA temporarily for work. We rented a site and also a parking spot for our work truck and trailer. We were always grateful to her that she allowed us to park there and receive our shipments for work. Unfortunately we didn't realize at the time how much we would be receiving and how big of an issue this would turn into. We tried to resolve certain issues such as asking fed ex to drop boxes at our site rather than the office and we took our boxes to an offsite location rather than put them in her cardboard recycling because apparently you are expected to take the boxes out for the guy who picks them up. When pipeliners moved in she increased her rates by $200 and bragged to me she was doing it because she could. I asked if our rate was being raised and she said no. Well of course then I receive the notice that ours did go up. When I asked why she said its because they spend more time cleaning up after us which is beyond laughable because we always kept any area we used cleaned. In fact when we used the laundry facility we would clean up after other people because we were afraid she would blame us. I even had my son help with cleaning up leaves and all she ended up doing was insulting my 13 year old who was trying to do his best to help her. Its like she will find whatever she can to pick a fight with you and make you uncomfortable. When it came down to it she told us if we didn't like things we could leave so lucky for us Twin Grove found a spot for us and we were so excited we left out as early as we could and spent two wonderful months there. They are so friendly, beautiful and we felt so comfortable there. We have moved on to a sister park of their's and are just as happy. I'm not sure at all why Judy owns echo valley. She doesn't seem to like people very much and you will find rude letters all over the park of her rules as well as the handbook she sends to you in your email. The thing is other rv parks have rules too but they also have customer service skills that let you know about them without being nasty about it. She can say how her park is beautiful but any beauty that is there is quickly stained by her attitude. I read reviews before we moved here but thought no way could someone be that bad however after experiencing myself absolutely nothing surprises me.
